The Little Vampire is a series of children's books created by Angela Sommer-Bodenburg, a German writer and artist. They started in 1977 with the first book, The Little Vampire (My Friend the Vampire), and, after an halt of nearly 10 years in the 90's, the saga currently continues.

The books narrate the story of a young boy, Anton (Tony in the English versions), who has an obsession with anything vampire-related, but lives a normal boring life. One night, he meets a real vampire! He looks like a child as him, and he's sweet and nice. Soon, Anton will find himself getting along with the vampire and his brothers, and accompanying them in creepy --and sometimes dangerous-- night adventures.

Two TV series were created based on the first books, one in 1985 and the other in 1993. There is also a movie (2000) by Uli Edel, starring Jonathan Lipnicki and Rollo Weeks, which is the way many non-Europe residents got to know about The Little Vampire. This fanlisting also covers these adaptations of the original story and characters.
